Randome thoughts as a Journalist!

I have been waking up at 3:30 for the past 3 years, almost like everyday of the week.
but why do i debate whether i wake up or not..guess what...i woke up complaining..why why why?

I remember when i started my journalism career, i never had interest at all, my first assignment was at Stanbic Bank, were Kalusha Bwalya was,ya! i met some old colleagues whom i was with at College(Evelyn Hone College) how would i pass this challenging task...

it was pretty hard, but i must say i forgot one thing to oversee my career, focus, at that time my ratings at My place of work were daunting, my news reading wasnt not that okay, my writting skills were poor, and focus was never a cole of my drive at work.

I dont know how i just managed to sweep through the old Alex to the new Musokotwane.
When i got into this media business, i was just a radio DJ,by that time i was 18 years, i first played in the nights, then was given a day shift...Tuesday, My Show was called "TWO NICE TOO PLAY TWICE" on Hone Radio, it used to go down, by the name of QUICK FINGERS,demn, time fly's so fast, sometimes it seems like it was just yesterday when POSENT(NOW RADIO 4),FOXY T(NOW PR OFFICER-CUTS),MIX MASTER,MASTER LT,VERSATILE(MANAGING EDITOR-MUVI TV)and the all other guys, we would sit and chat, hang out, and .....

I had my fair share of fame, at the college, but i did manage to come out clean, that's sometimes when i sit and reminisce, i smile laugh and praise my God..i was just a simple high school graduate working at CLUB LA'REFERENCE, one of the biggest clubs in Zambia at that time i must say, the only experience i had before then was working with a Mobile Disco in Avondale, but again before that i had Hosted a beauty Pageant back at high school, it was great, (i just sneaked out of the window because i was too young to be allowed to go out)...but it was all worth it, i enjoyed my time, but i have come far, am still going far..
so high school graduate, club DJ, Radio DJ--JOURNALISM SCHOOL,JOURNALIST-WHAT NEXT?

Back at my first assignment, i managed to write a story, but man, i wish i had that old copy, and compare with what i can write..
So in short, am still waking up at 3:30 ka?...

My Editor David and my best friend Mulenga(Sky FM,Lusaka Office Editor), have played a role, its been a journey..i still make mistakes very much..
But i think that the difference has been, iam able to learn from them..

The good part about my career is traveling, i love that,my favorite was the boat cruise on the Zambezi river, you can imagine, they saved me my favorite beverage..???

nEXT Time i write, i will talk about my Family..

Alexander Musokotwane!

In short the call me Alex, to save time and energy,am a journalist, not yet married but not even seeing anyone as am just refreshing up!
So feel free to blog...

Alexander Musokotwane!

Welcome

We will meet again my friend,
A hundred years from today
Far away from where we lived
And where we used to play.

We will know each others' eyes
And wonder where we met
Your laugh will sound familiar
Your heart, I won't forget.

We will meet, I'm sure of this,
But let's not wait till then...
Let's take a walk beneath the stars
And share this world again
